    Specialist college for the deaf, dedicated to educate and train deaf and hearing-impaired young people and adults.

    Doncaster College for the Deaf was formed as a further education department in the 1970ís from the Yorkshire Residential School for the Deaf (established in 1829) and grew rapidly to achieve college status in the mid 80ís. It is now recognised nationally and internationally as a specialist college and centre of excellence, providing post-16 education and training for deaf and hearing impaired people. The College is located on its own purpose-built campus, with facilities designed to reflect the real work environment across a wide range of industries and occupations, and our provision is tailored to meet the individual needs of over 200 students.
